Job summary

Osteon Medical in Melbourne is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to drive financial performance and influence business strategy.

You will partner with stakeholders across the organisation and our US leadership team, providing financial insights to support effective commercial and strategic decision-making.

The role includes leading budgeting, forecasting, reporting and developing financial models to guide pricing, investment and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role.
• Strong reporting, budgeting, forecasting and modelling skills.
• Experience with month-end and year-end processes.
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience.
• Analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, annual planning and long-range financial planning across the business.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial and management reporting, including month-end, sales and financial year-end reporting.
• Analyse financial performance, business metrics and trends to provide actionable insights that support strategic and commercial decision-making.
• Develop financial models and analysis to support investment decisions, pricing, resource allocation and cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead a small finance team and manage the monthly accounting close and reporting process, including oversight of receivables, payables and working capital.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and our US team on forecasts, budgets, financial performance and other key business developments.

About You

You are a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical skills and a practical, hands-on approach. You’ll bring:

• Experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills.
• Experience with month-end and year-end financial processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• A proactive and organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in manufacturing, medical devices or a global organisation will be highly regarded but is not essential.
