Job summary

JMS Group Australia Pty Ltd in Rockhampton seeks a Senior Accounts Manager to own day-to-day finance, liaise with our external accountant, and lead the Junior Admin Assistant to keep processes efficient.

You will manage accounts payable/receivable, BAS lodgement, reporting, reconciliations, payroll, superannuation, and payroll obligations, with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery. This full-time role offers a supportive team and opportunity to contribute to business improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a senior accounts, bookkeeping, or finance role.
• Proven experience preparing and lodging BAS.
• Sound understanding of GST, PAYG, payroll and superannuation requirements.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail; able to communicate with external advisors and junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payments.
• Prepare and lodge BAS quarterly/monthly.
• Liaise with external accountant for end-of-month/year reporting and reconciliations.
• Complete bank, credit card, and ledger reconciliations.
• Process payroll and manage superannuation and PAYG obligations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports for management.
• Lead and support Junior Admin Assistant; drive process improvements across accounts and admin.
