Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (CPA Australia, CA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' senior finance experience, preferably in construction.
• Proven experience leading and managing a finance team.
• Knowledge of construction accounting, project accounting, and costs management.
• Expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting software (Xero) and financial systems.
• Understanding of financial compliance, taxation, and audit requirements.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with stakeholder engagement.
• Strategic thinking with commercial acumen and business understanding.
• Experience with WA construction standards and residential building software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the finance team with performance guidance.
• Oversee financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Manage financial systems, processes and controls for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and present financial statements, management accounts and reports.
• Monitor project profitability, cost control, and cash flow across projects.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation and regulations.
• Liaise with external auditors and advisors for governance and readiness.
• Develop financial strategies to support growth and shareholder value.
• Provide financial analyses and business cases for investments and planning.
• Manage banking relationships, credit facilities and treasury functions.
