Job summary

Private Advertiser in Melbourne is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the Group finance function, strengthen reporting and controls, and drive continuous improvement across a diverse portfolio of businesses.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will oversee management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, and the development of reporting dashboards to support strategic decision-making across the Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA).
• Minimum five years’ experience as Financial Controller or similar leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts and management reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across the Group.
• Provide insightful financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Monitor performance, costs and project outcomes to support commercial decisions.
• Ensure integrity and consistency of financial information across the business.
• Develop KPIs, reporting tools and dashboards to measure performance.
• Lead and develop the Group finance team and drive continuous improvement.
• Champion finance transformation initiatives and improve internal controls.
