Job summary

South32 Group Operations Pty seeks an experienced Finance Business Partner to guide management with financial discipline and strategic cost management at the Cannington site in northwest Queensland. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will partner with the mine Vice President of Operations and site leadership to deliver governance and management reporting that supports the company’s goals.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, drive cost efficiency, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Significant finance/commercial experience, IFRS/South32 accounting interpretations, budgeting and management reporting.
• Degree in Commerce/Finance and CPA/CA or equivalent.
• Experience with SAP or similar systems and advanced Excel; Power BI advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate operational inputs to prepare submissions to Group office.
• Coordinate annual budget and forecast on site with approvals.
• Provide leadership on-site to sustain financial discipline and governance.
