Job summary

Persol is recruiting a Finance Manager for its NSW-based manufacturing site. You’ll take on senior financial leadership, working closely with the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team to deliver commercial insight and strategic direction.

You will manage day-to-day site financials, lead the closedown, budgeting, forecasting and CAPEX, and coach the site finance team to optimise profitability and performance.

Qualifications

• Senior finance experience within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Experience partnering with senior operational stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analytical capability.
• Experience with manufacturing finance and product costing; SAP and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial insight across manufacturing, procurement, logistics, engineering, HR and production planning.
• Partner with the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team to review performance and drive strategic direction.
• Influence and advise senior stakeholders on financial and operational decisions.
• Lead the monthly site accounting close, reporting and forecasting.
• Direct and develop the site finance team.
• Oversee standard product costing, new product development, variants and trials.
• Manage annual budgets and monthly forecasting.
• Provide financial control, advice and support to key stakeholders.
• Oversee CAPEX planning, project approvals, forecasting and reporting.
• Ensure financial control, integrity and accuracy of site finance.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial and operational performance and drive change.

Your new role

As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the manufacturing site and will be a key business partner to the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing financial insight across manufacturing, procurement, logistics, engineering, HR and production planning


• Partnering with the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team to review performance and support the site's strategic direction


• Influencing and advising senior stakeholders on financial and operational decisions


• Leading the monthly site accounting close, reporting, financial analysis and forecasting


• Leading and developing the site finance team


• Overseeing standard product costing, including new product development, variants, line extensions and trials


• Managing annual budgets and monthly forecasting


• Providing financial control, advice and support to key stakeholders


• Managing CAPEX planning, project approval documentation, forecasting and reporting


• Ensuring the financial control, integrity and accuracy of site finance


• Identifying opportunities to improve financial and operational performance and driving change where required

• Senior finance experience within FMCG or manufacturing


• Strong experience partnering with senior operational stakeholders, ideally within a manufacturing, site or production environment


• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills


• The confidence to challenge, influence and collaborate with multiple departments to drive change and improve business performance


• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to turn financial information into actionable business insights


• Experience with manufacturing finance and product costing
  
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analytical capability


• Must have SAP experience and strong Excel skills
