Job summary

Groundbreaking Mining Solutions is seeking a Finance Business Partner to lead the finance function for mining equipment services, parts and project delivery. Based in Forrestdale, you will partner with operations and deliver accurate financial information to Executives and the Regional CFO.

You will own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and internal controls, while leading a small finance team to drive profitability and governance in a dynamic, project-based environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a similar finance leadership role.
• CA or CPA qualification and degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience building and leading finance teams.
• Strong technical accounting capability including revenue recognition, WIP and inventory management.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and multi-entity reporting.
• ERP experience across multiple systems, including inventory management.
• Commercial mindset with ability to influence operations.

Partner with executive leadership to drive the financial performance of a rapidly growing mining services group backed by an ASX-listed parent company.

Groundbreaking Mining Solutions (GMS), a subsidiary group of Tasmea Limited (ASX: TEA), is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to lead the finance function across a diverse portfolio of mining equipment services, parts and project delivery operations.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role where you'll influence strategic decision-making, drive commercial outcomes and help shape the next phase of growth.

About the Role

Based out of our Forrestdale office, you will lead the financial integrity of the company, including reporting, budgeting, cashflow and financial controls.

You will operate as a hands-on finance leader, partnering closely with operational teams while leading the finance function to deliver accurate, timely and insightful financial information to the GMS Executives and Regional CFO.

What You'll Be Doing

• Coordinate financial reporting across the Company, including monthly management accounts and Board reporting
• Act as a trusted adviser to the Executive Leadership Team on financial and commercial matters
• Own the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes
• Lead cashflow management and optimise working capital performance
• Oversee project financial performance, including WIP, inventory, project margins and cost control
• Provide commercial support on tenders, pricing and business decisions
• Establish and maintain strong financial controls and governance frameworks
• Lead audit processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational performance and working capital outcomes
• Lead and develop a small finance team, including Management Accounting and Finance Officers

About You

You are a commercially minded, hands-on finance leader with experience in mining services, inventory management and project delivery.

What you'll bring:

• +5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in the mining services, FMCG, import or distribution sectors
• CA or CPA qualification, as well as degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Experience leading and developing finance teams
• Strong technical accounting capability, including WIP, inventory management and revenue recognition
• Experience leading reporting, budgeting and cashflow in a multi-entity environment
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to influence operational teams
• Strong ERP experience across a range of systems including inventory management
• A willingness to roll up your sleeves and work closely with the business
