Chandler Macleod is partnering with a federal agency to recruit an APS6 Finance Business Partner who will provide strategic financial analysis, assurance and advice to support budgets and capability delivery across the submarine program.
You will lead financial reporting, partner with senior stakeholders, ensure compliance with Commonwealth frameworks and operate with autonomy in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of our client for an exceptional opportunity within a high-profile Federal Government agency supporting Australia’s most significant long-term capability program.
Working within the ASA environment, the APS6 Finance Business Partner is accountable (under broad direction and with a high degree of autonomy) for providing strategic financial analysis, assurance and advice to support the delivery of budgets and outcomes, including across the capability development process.
The acquisition of conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines is an historic and transformative endeavour for Australia. This whole-of-nation effort will transform Australia’s economic and national security landscape for decades to come.
Within the ASA Finance Branch, you will support agency and program-wide decision-making through the development and implementation of processes that enable accurate, timely financial information and insight in a complex, fast-paced, high-profile environment.
The ASA Finance Branch supports the Chief Financial Officer, the Assistant Director General Program Costing, and the broader ASA through the provision of expert strategic support and advice relating to the acquisition, sustainment and disposal of nuclear-powered submarines (NPS).
ASA fosters an inclusive culture that emphasises respect and collaboration and prioritises safety and security. You will be working at the cutting edge of capability delivery, supported by professionalisation pathways and unique career opportunities.
Relevant experience as a Finance Business Partner / Finance Adviser (APS6 level or equivalent), ideally within government or similarly complex environments.
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.
Flexible working arrangements may be supported where aligned with operational and business requirements.
