Australian Submarine Agency is seeking an APS6 Finance Business Partner to provide strategic financial analysis, assurance and advice across budgets, costing and program performance for the NPS program. You will deliver timely financial information and support decision making within the Finance Branch.

The role requires collaboration with directors, ability to work independently, and a solid understanding of Commonwealth budgeting frameworks.

Qualifications

The Australian Submarine Agency (ASA) Finance Branch supports the Chief Financial Officer, the Assistant Director General Program Costing, and the ASA through the provision of expert strategic support and advice on the development of the acquisition, sustainment and disposal of nuclear-powered submarines (NPS).

• Demonstrated experience in the preparation of briefs and reports which identify and provide recommendations to financial management issues and new proposals.

The Australian Submarine Agency was established on 1 July 2023 and is responsible and accountable for the management and oversight of Australia’s nuclear-powered submarine program.Australia’s acquisition of conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarines through the AUKUS partnership will be critical to ensuring our Defence Force has the capabilities needed to keep Australians safe.The Australian Submarine Agency operates under the Defence portfolio and maintains strong linkages with the Department of Defence.
