Aspirante is seeking an experienced Principal Business Analyst to support a Queensland Government client as it modernises its business systems and financial processes.

Working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams and service providers, you will refine requirements, define future‑state processes and support the implementation of a foundational finance solution, helping deliver more efficient and customer‑focused ways of working.

Qualifications

• Extensive business analysis experience in ICT transformation projects.
• Proven ability to define BPMN models and use cases and elicit requirements.
• Experience leading work across a cross‑agency environment.
• Experience documenting future‑state processes for asset management and capital works.
• Strong ability to identify gaps between current and future systems and provide actionable recommendations.

Skills and experience sought

• Extensive business analysis experience in ICT transformation projects at a program level, including improving business systems to align with organisational objectives.
• Proven ability to define and document BPMN business process models and use cases, and effectively elicit requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading work in a cross-agency environment throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Significant experience working with business stakeholders to define and document future-state processes, particularly in asset management and capital works.
• Strong expertise in analysing gaps between current-state and future-state systems and providing clear, actionable recommendations.
• Proven ability to lead outcomes-focused workshops with business stakeholders and service providers.
• Experience contributing to test packages and data interfaces.
• Proficiency in Agile delivery on complex programs, including sprint planning, sprints, showcases and retrospectives.
• Government or public sector experience, with knowledge of Queensland Government mandated methodologies and frameworks.

You will bring exceptional communication skills, strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, and a collaborative approach. You will be comfortable managing competing priorities, navigating ambiguity and working independently, while maintaining attention to detail and productive stakeholder relationships.
