Job summary

Allura Partners seeks a hands-on Development Finance Analyst at the centre of the development lifecycle. You will link finance with project teams, keep data clean, models accurate and reporting sharp across multiple development projects.

With 3–5 years in finance or analytics, you will advance forecasts, refine inputs, review expenditures, explain variances and help automate reporting using advanced Excel, BI tools and robust data governance.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting or an analytical role.
• Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling capability, confident building models from the ground up.
• Strong BI skills and comfortable handling and interrogating data from multiple sources.
• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Property or similar.
• CA, CPA or CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development forecasts and short-term cash flow modelling.
• Maintain and enhance financial models, keeping inputs consistent across projects.
• Review actual development expenditure and prepare reclassification journals.
• Analyse variances against budget and feasibility, and explain the commercial drivers behind them.

A PE-backed property owner, operator and developer, backed by a solid national portfolio and a healthy pipeline of development projects. With demand continuing to grow, so is the finance function supporting it.

The role

This is a hands-on analyst role at the centre of the development finance function. You'll be the link between finance and project teams, keeping data clean, models accurate and reporting sharp across a busy development lifecycle. It's a role for someone who wants to build real commercial and technical depth in property finance.

You'll:

• Contribute to development forecasts and short-term cash flow modelling
• Maintain and enhance financial models, keeping inputs consistent across projects
• Review actual development expenditure and prepare reclassification journals
• Analyse variances against budget and feasibility, and explain the commercial drivers behind them
• Reconcile project financials across systems and resolve data inconsistencies
• Work across finance systems and reporting platforms to keep data consistent
• Support continuous improvement of reporting tools, templates and workflows

About you

• 3-5 years' experience in finance, accounting or an analytical role
• Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling capability, confident building models from the ground up

• Interest in AI and automation tools, and how they can be applied to improve reporting and analysis
• Property, construction or infrastructure exposure highly regarded
• High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to data integrity
• Strong communicator, comfortable partnering across finance and business stakeholders
• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Property or similar
• CA, CPA or CFA preferred
