Job summary

Allura Partners in Sydney is seeking a pricing analytics leader to own pricing, take the business from Excel-based analysis to a Python-driven approach, and set the analytical standard for pricing decisions at the highest level.

You will build models, run scenario analyses, partner with sales and finance, and own the end-to-end analytics function in a PE-backed environment that values data-driven, rapid decision making.

Qualifications

• Background in pricing analytics, credit analytics, credit risk, or a quantitative discipline.
• Strong, hands-on Python skills: build-heavy role, not just analysis.
• A strong statistical or mathematical background is highly desirable.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to translate analysis into decisions.
• Track record of delivering in fast-paced environments.
• Background in Big Four consulting or strong banking/financial services.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pricing, value and commission calculations that inform commercial decisions.
• Use Python to build models, automate analysis and turn complex datasets into insight.
• Partner with sales teams, providing data and insight to support pricing and win more business.
• Run scenario and sensitivity analyses on pricing, margin and volume trade-offs to support strategy.
• Work with finance and risk to keep pricing and profitability decisions joined up with clear recommendations.

About the Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will own pricing analytics and lead the maturing of the function end to end. This is a genuine build role: you will take the business from Excel-based analysis to a Python-driven approach, set the analytical standard, and shape how pricing decisions are made at the highest level.

• Partner with sales teams, providing the data and insight to support pricing and win more business
• Run scenario and sensitivity analysis on pricing, margin and volume trade-offs to support commercial strategy
• Work across finance and risk to keep pricing, profitability and portfolio decisions joined up, translating analysis into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences
