Capstone Recruitment in Sydney is seeking a Manager for Financial Planning & Analysis in the Property Development sector. You will report to the Head of Finance and work closely with the COO/CFO to deliver market insights and robust financial models.

The role manages budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with opportunities to build and lead a small team within 12 months. Strong communication and capital-intensive industry FP&A experience are essential.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified with at least 10 years in commercial finance.
• Experience FP&A in capital-intensive industries.
• Property development experience highly desirable.
• Strong financial modelling and analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide market and business insights and support financial modelling for proposals and decision support.
• Analyse monthly financial results and drivers with variance commentary.
• Manage annual budgeting and forecast using economic indicators.

• Prepare ad hoc presentations for the COO and CFO.

High profile property investment and development business going through an exciting phase of growth.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Finance with a dotted line to the business, the role includes:

• provide market and business insights and support the business on financial modelling for business proposals and decision support
• analyze monthly financial results and business drivers and provide supporting commentary on variances
• manage the annual budgeting process and analyze economic indicators and market trends to prepare forecasts
• partner with business units to formulate key strategies and recommendations to drive growth and profitability
• prepare ad hoc presentations for the COO and CFO
• strengthen internal controls and improve finance processes and systems
• this is a stand alone role initially with the opportunity to recruit a small team within the next 12 months

The Person

• you will be CA/CPA qualified and have 10 + years experience working in a commercial finance role including FP&A in a capital intensive industry.
• prior property development experience is highly desirable
• strong financial modelling and analysis skills
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
