State Trustees Limited in Bendigo invites applications for the Financial Asset Officer role within our Professional Services group. You will administer client assets and implement investment strategies in line with their financial plan.

This part-time, 30.4 hour per week, 12-month fixed term position offers flexible, hybrid work arrangements and the chance to build strong relationships with clients and external partners.

Qualificações

• Experience supporting finance or asset management tasks.
• Understanding of double-entry accounting and reconciliations.
• Basic knowledge of investments and their characteristics.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in MS Excel and business correspondence.
• Attention to detail and solid systems skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent is desirable.

About the Role

Internally knows as a Financial Asset Officer, you will be part of a team that plays an important role in the management of our client's assets and ensure investment strategies are implemented accordingly to maximise their financial potential. As part of the wider Professional Services group, you will administer and action on behalf of clients, in accordance with their financial plan. You will liaise with key people in the organisation to make this happen as well build and maintain strong relationships with external parties.

Skills & Experience

• Administrative experience in a finance or asset-related environment
• Understanding of basic accounting (double-entry) and account reconciliations
• A foundational knowledge of investments and their characteristics
• Clear, professional communication skill (verbal and written)
• Confidence preparing business correspondence and using MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail, systems skills, and a willingness to learn

Candidates who are studying and/or have completed a Diploma of Financial Planning or equivalent as well as experience within financial asset environment would be highly desirable.
