Job summary

GenPower Services in Australia is seeking experienced Light Vehicle or Heavy Diesel Mechanics for a 1 week on / 1 week off FIFO roster, on a 12-month contract. You will perform maintenance and repairs on mobile generators, lighting towers, diesel water pumps and related equipment.

The ideal candidates will have Australian-recognised trade certificates as Light Vehicle or Heavy Diesel Mechanics, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely in a mining environment.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised trade certificate as Light Vehicle or Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Experience in heavy-duty environments.
• National Police Clearance required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mobile plant equipment and other equipment as required.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment components including large water pumps.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, pumps and ancillary equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to complete complex repairs.
• Communicate works with client and GenPower Supervisor daily / weekly.

This is a great opportunity to join the GenPower Services team and work with an industry-leading Tier 1 Mining client on a 1 week on and 1 week off roster maintaining a fleet of Diesel Water Pumps, Mobile Generators, Lighting Towers and other mining equipment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking experienced Light Vehicle or Heavy Diesel Mechanics (preferably with experience maintaining and repairing Diesel Water Pump Sets similar to TruFlo Pumps etc and Generators) to perform maintenance and repairs onmobile generators, lighting towers, diesel water pumpsand other equipment as required. The ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical aptitude, previous experience working with generators, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring that the equipment we help maintain operates at peak performance.
