Job summary

BMD Group is seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor for the Darwin Ship Lift Project. This FIFO role involves a 15 days on / 6 days off roster, acting as the on-site HR contact and partnering with leaders to deliver strategic and operational HR support on a major infrastructure project.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will manage recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and workforce planning while supporting Indigenous participation initiatives and project reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a generalist HR Advisor in project-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide generalist HR advice and support to project leaders and employees.
• Partner with project leadership to deliver workforce planning and engagement initiatives.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment for blue/white-collar roles, including sourcing and onboarding.
• Guide performance management, disciplinary processes and employee relations.
• Support Enterprise Agreements, Awards, policies and employment legislation.
• Coordinate workforce mobilisation and employee movements across the project.
• Build strong relationships with leaders and act as a trusted HR advisor.
• Support Indigenous Participation Strategies and Reconciliation Action Plan initiatives.
