Job summary

ABBA Engineering is seeking a Dewatering Supervisor to lead FIFO operations across WA projects. You will oversee dewatering systems, coordinate maintenance and field activities, and mentor technicians in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably mining, construction or manufacturing.
• S26 tickets (Mandatory)
• MR or HR driver’s licence
• Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities in industrial operations
• Comfort with using tablets or digital tools to monitor field activities

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day dewatering operations and supervise technicians.
• Coordinate dewatering system setup, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Oversee pump and pipeline installations, relocations and modifications.
• Ensure preventative maintenance and timely repairs; maintain records.
• Support client communications and report operational updates.

ABBA Engineering is growing our FIFO Dewatering & Projects Team, and we're looking for an experienced Dewatering Supervisor to join us.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mining or dewatering professional who enjoys leading teams, coordinating site activities and delivering safe and efficient dewatering operations. You will play a key role in overseeing dewatering systems, mechanical maintenance, pipeline installation and site services across Western Australia's mining industry.

About the Role

Dewatering Supervisors oversee day-to-day dewatering operations, manage teams of technicians, and ensure compliance with project and safety requirements.

Key Focus Areas:

• Supervise and mentor Dewatering Technicians and Senior Technicians
• Coordinate dewatering system setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Oversee pump and pipeline installations, relocations, and modifications
• Ensure preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs are completed efficiently
• Monitor compliance with WHS procedures and participate in toolbox meetings
• Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records
• Manage client relationships and communicate operational updates effectively
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement efficiency initiatives
• Provide technical guidance and support to field teams to ensure safe and efficient operations

About You

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within mining, construction, or manufacturing.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in mining, industrial, or civil operations
• Strong mechanical understanding of dewatering pumps and systems
• Experience with pump curves, parameters, and operational troubleshooting
• S26 tickets (Mandatory)
• MR or HR driver’s licence
• Tech-savvy with experience using tablets or digital tools to monitor and report on field operations
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence
