Job summary

Whittens is recruiting Project Managers on FIFO rosters to lead large-scale civil infrastructure projects (Concrete/Earthworks). You will interface with clients and site teams, build a high-performing workforce and ensure safety and project outcomes.

The role requires demonstrated PM experience with a civil contractor and the ability to manage self-perform teams across major projects, with strong communication and commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• PM experience in civil contracting environments.
• Experience managing large infrastructure projects (concrete/earthworks).
• Ability to lead self-perform workforce and coordinate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain interface relationships with Client, site teams and Whittens leadership.
• Deliver projects by leading a high performing, safe and sustainable team.
• Determine construction methods, materials and quality standards; review drawings and plans.
• Prepare and submit notifications to the Client as required.
• Plan and manage direct site labour and workforce planning.
• Assess costs, and negotiate variations with Commercial team.
• Ensure compliance with contract notices and manage subcontractors.
• Identify and support emerging leaders and develop plans.
• Maintain accurate cost tracking and run weekly project reviews.
