Job summary

ESS is seeking a Catering Manager to lead the Harmony Gold – Eva Copper village catering operations, serving 400–1200 residents on a fly-in, fly-out schedule from Townsville or Brisbane. You will oversee all aspects of food service, safety, and cost control, delivering high standards and operational excellence.

You will manage large-scale dining operations in a remote mining environment, driving team performance, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement while adhering to Queensland

Qualifications

• Budget management experience in large-scale catering operations.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams across multiple shifts.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication with clients and site leadership.
• Solid understanding of mining safety regulations and compliance requirements.

Job description

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

Due to unprecedented growth across the east coast remote sector we are looking an experienced Catering Manager to take us into our next growth phase at Harmony Gold – Eva Copper, providing hospitality services for approximately 400-1200 residents. Eva Copper is located 75km north of Cloncurry and is poised to become the largest Copper Mine in NW Queensland.

Working with well-regarded clients, the successful candidate will do an 14:7 roster working 12 hour days and will be fly-in, fly-out ex Townsville or Brisbane, with flights, accommodation and meals included.
