Curtin University invites applications for a full-time Fieldwork Coordinator to join the Faculty of Health Sciences on a fixed-term basis until 30 June 2027. The role leads the fieldwork placement program and liaises with industry partners to ensure placements run smoothly.

The coordinator oversees daily placement operations, improves processes, and acts as the main escalation point for placement queries while ensuring compliance with university policies.

• Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to the needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Effective team coordination skills, with the ability to provide day-to-day leadership, direction and support to staff within a small team.
• Clear and professional written communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise correspondence and documentation for a range of audiences.
• Sound judgement and practical problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and resolve day-to-day issues effectively.
• Effective collaboration and self-management skills, with the ability to contribute positively within a team and work autonomously with limited direction.
• Desirable: Previous experience in, and understanding of, fieldwork placement within the higher education sector.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee the Faculty’s fieldwork placement program and drive positive outcomes for students, staff and industry partners.
• Collaborate with fieldwork and unit coordinators to maintain and strengthen industry partnerships.
• Oversee the daily operations of fieldwork placements, including organising placement team priorities and overseeing ongoing process improvements.
• Regularly review administrative processes and implement improvements with staff to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, liaise with students, staff, and clinical partners to resolve placement issues.
• Act as the first escalation point for any placement-related queries.
