Job summary

MidCoast Council's Water Project Delivery team invites applications for a hands-on Team Member Water Network Construction based in the Tuncurry depot. You will help construct and maintain water and wastewater infrastructure, contributing to essential services for the community.

The role covers pipelaying, site tasks, and operating plant such as excavators, loaders and cranes while following WHS standards and council procedures. A trade qualification or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or extensive experience in water/sewer construction
• Competency operating plant and equipment (e.g. excavator, loader, VLC)
• A team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Physically fit and willing to work outdoors and respond to urgent works
• A Class C Driver Licence

Responsibilities

• Construction and maintenance of water and sewer infrastructure
• Operating plant and equipment including excavators, loaders, and cranes
• Supporting emergency and planned works
• Working safely in line with WHS standards and Council procedure
