Job summary

NEXTracker is seeking a Technical Adviser to coordinate between the Project Manager and customers, delivering excellent on-site support and ensuring our products outperform expectations. This role emphasizes safety, QA, and hands-on technical guidance across Australia.

The TA will travel extensively, liaising with PMs, construction teams and customers to optimize installation, commissioning readiness, and service quality in a dynamic solar field environment.

Qualifications

• 5 Years construction industry experience, at least 2 at supervisory level
• A good working understanding of Australian WHS regulations, especially regarding the construction industry
• Construction industry induction (white card)
• Basic First Aid + CPR training
• The physical health, fitness and ability to carry out the responsibilities described above
• Willingness to undergo health and drug/alcohol screening as required for Project site access
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in a heavy construction context
• Proficient with general construction tools and techniques (laser levels, hand tools, air and pneumatic tools, torqueing, quality assurance)
• Detail oriented, with good basic mathematical ability and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter, with ability to work independently, and promote teamwork
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong customer relationships
• Positive, friendly, enthusiastic attitude
• Experience in dealing with customer support issues and knowledge of project management techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication, MS Office proficiency and willingness to learn NEXTracker systems
• Extensive travel required – up to 100% field based, including remote sites

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between Project Manager and Customer to assist with construction of NEXTracker products
• Provide technical support across Australia, ensuring best-in-class customer experience
• Translate and interpret construction documents to support installation
• Establish communication with PM, Customer PM, Construction Manager and site staff
• Develop construction schedule forecasts and daily progress reports
• Conduct QA inspections of piling and tracker construction
• Report and resolve product quality issues via NCR and RMA processes
• Coordinate commissioning readiness and processes with PM and Commissioning Manager
• Provide guidance to personnel and subcontractors on mechanical, electrical and construction issues
• Advise customers on tool operations, maintenance and servicing; coordinate tool training
