Job summary

Wannon Water in Warrnambool is seeking a Recycled Water Field Officer to support sustainable management of our recycled water, biosolids and trade waste programs. Based in the field, you’ll engage with farmers, monitor operations and coordinate activities across the region.

You’ll respond to operational matters, assist with compliance and continuous improvement, and help achieve target outcomes while ensuring safety and high-quality service to customers.

Qualifications

• Qualifications or extensive experience in farm planning, agriculture, irrigation, agronomy, rural operations and project management.
• Experience in recycled water and or biosolids management would be highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with farmers, customers, employees, consultants and contractors on recycled water and biosolids programs.
• Monitor irrigation operations and assist customers with requirements.
• Organise annual irrigator maintenance and soil monitoring programs.
• Report progress of recycled water use and biosolids processing to stakeholders.
• Respond to maintenance requests for recycled water assets and coordinate corrective work.
• Support field operations to achieve usage and biosolids targets.
