Job summary

Ecolab in Sydney is seeking a Service Technician on a contract basis to support Food & Beverage customers across Sydney and surrounding areas. This field-based role helps customers maintain water quality, protect assets, and improve operational reliability across cooling towers, boilers, closed-loop systems, and wastewater treatment plants.

This hands-on role involves on-site service, reporting, and ongoing training to develop technical skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in water treatment or wastewater operations.
• Industrial maintenance or utilities experience.
• Mechanical service or instrumentation experience.
• Laboratory testing or process operations experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Safety-first mindset with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct water testing, sampling, and routine service visits.
• Monitor and maintain cooling water, boiler, and wastewater systems.
• Inspect, calibrate, and troubleshoot dosing equipment and controllers.
• Identify issues, recommend corrective actions, and support optimisation.
• Complete service reports and communicate findings with customers.
• Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and chemical handling.
