Job summary

Atlas Copco in Tasmania requires a Field Service Technician to service air compressors and related equipment at customer sites across the territory. The role involves preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and on-site commissioning, with a focus on delivering high-quality service and clear documentation.

You will receive hands-on training through the Atlas Copco Training Academy, a dedicated support team, and an emphasis on work-life balance with field flexibility and an on-call roster.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic or similar trade).
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• A hands-on approach and commitment to delivering quality work.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage your day effectively.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence, full working rights and availability for an on-call roster.

Your role

As a Field Service Technician, you will maintain, service and repair air compressors and associated equipment across our customer sites.

Your day-to-day

• Performing preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on our equipment
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
• Completing on-site repairs, upgrades and equipment commissioning
• Providing technical support and exceptional service to customers
• Completing service reports and maintaining accurate service records

Your Skills And Experience

• Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic or similar trade)

Your job location

Tasmania (Launceston and surrounding regions). This is a field-based role with the majority of time spent visiting customer sites across the territory.
