Job summary

Atlas Copco in Launceston, Tasmania, is seeking a Field Service Technician to service compressed air equipment across the region. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and carry out breakdown repairs while delivering outstanding customer care in a mobile, field-based role.

This position offers a tool-of-trade vehicle, laptop and phone, with support from a Technical Support team, on-call roster, and training through the Atlas Copco Academy.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification required (Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic or similar).
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Practical, hands-on approach with quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment with Service Planner support.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence and Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

Your role

About the role:

Atlas Copco is seeking a Field Service Technician to support our growing customer base across Tasmania. This is a varied, autonomous role where you'll deliver preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and technical support to customers across a range of industries.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on compressed air equipment

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults

• Completing on-site repairs, upgrades and equipment commissioning

• Providing technical support and exceptional customer service

• Maintaining accurate service records and completing service documentation

• Participating in an on-call roster

To succeed, you will need

• Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic or similar)

• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills

• A practical, hands-on approach with a commitment to quality workmanship

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment, taking ownership of your schedule and service commitments with support from a Service Planner.

• Current Australian Driver's Licence and Full Australian working rights
