Job summary

Ingersoll Rand Compressor Systems & Services is seeking a Service Technician - Mechanical in Newcastle to complete mechanical repair, overhaul and maintenance of compressed air equipment. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and provide technical guidance to customers on mechanical systems.

The role involves on-site work at customer locations, adherence to safety protocols, and occasional travel within Australia.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a Maintenance field service environment.
Commitment to workplace safety.
Australian Manual Drivers Licence.
Excellent customer service ability.
Experience with Pneumatic Equipment.
Skills in fault finding in Compressed Air Equipment.
Be an excellent team player.
Ability to work in a busy dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Identify problems in air compressors and generators through troubleshooting techniques and perform repairs to rectify issues.
Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance of electrical systems in air compressors and generators.
Provide technical assistance to customers regarding mechanical systems in air compressors and generators.
Maintain accurate service records and complete documentation in a timely manner.
Adhere to safety protocols, perform Job Hazard Analysis (JSA) and wear PPE.
Travel within Australia and internationally as required; work both indoors and outdoors.
Contribute to growth by delivering excellent customer service values.
