Job summary

Berendsen Fluid Power in Dandenong is seeking a diesel/mechanical hydraulic fitter to diagnose faults on-site and restore machines to working order, minimising downtime.

You’ll decide on repairs or replacements, install and commission new hydraulic systems, and perform preventative maintenance while upholding WHS standards. This role offers a clear path for progression and training as we promote from within.

Qualifications

• Hydraulic field service experience with ability to write clear service reports.
• Overtime and weekend call-out rosters when needed.
• Desirable: ability to read hydraulic circuits and diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s licence and safety-first mindset.
• Ambition to build a long-term career with us.

Responsibilities

• Heading out to site, diagnosing the fault, and getting the machine back up and running.
• Deciding on the fix (repair or replace) and driving it through.
• Installing and commissioning new hydraulic systems.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance on existing equipment.
• Time in the workshop on cylinder rebuilds, and pump and motor repairs and testing.
• Doing it all safely and in line with WHS procedures.

• Valid driver’s licence and a safety-first mindset
