Job summary

Ecolab is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our NSW Healthcare Service team, supporting customers across parts of Sydney and the Newcastle region. This role focuses on servicing hospital sterilisation and reprocessing equipment, including steam sterilisers and washer-disinfectors, to ensure reliability and safe clinical operations.

The position is field-based with travel across the territory and occasional overnight stays, reporting to the Service Manager.

Qualifications

Must hold restricted electrical license or be eligible to obtain.
Experience servicing electro-mechanical or industrial equipment.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Service, maintain, and repair sterilisers, washer-disinfectors, and related equipment
Perform preventative maintenance, fault finding, and diagnostics
Install and commission equipment at hospital sites
Conduct testing, calibration, and compliance checks
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, steam, and fluid systems
Maintain accurate service documentation and reports
Work closely with hospital staff, CSSD teams, and biomedical personnel
Adhere to infection control and safety standards
