Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Technician - Field Service (2/1 FIFO) for our Newman team to service mining and power generation engines. You will fly from Perth, perform breakdown and scheduled maintenance, diagnose issues, and rebuild components while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Applicants should have heavy vehicle mechanic qualifications and experience with Cummins engines or similar diesel systems, plus strong diagnostic and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a mechanical trades qualified as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Australian standards).
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in field service for heavy diesel products; Cummins engines preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and IT capabilities required.
• Experience with Hitachi/Komatsu/Liebherr is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first-class service to customers across mining, automotive and power generation.
• Perform repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products on-site and in field service.
• Diagnose and repair engines; rebuild and recondition as needed.
• Complete required documentation via service worksheets and systems.
