Job summary

SKIDATA Australia, part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, is seeking a technically skilled Field Service Technician to deliver repairs, maintenance, and fault diagnosis on SKIDATA access systems across Victoria. You’ll install, configure, and commission new access installations, while completing paperwork in ServiceNow and advising clients on technical matters.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a service, maintenance, or installation role.
• Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Advanced Electronics (or working towards one).
• Strong computer literacy and programming skills.
• Solid problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A customer-focused mindset and commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely repairs, preventative maintenance, and fault diagnosis on SKIDATA equipment and sites.
• Install, configure, and commission new access systems across VIC, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Accurately complete work orders, installation documentation, warranty forms, and parts management in ServiceNow.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, providing technical advice and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of safety, presentation, and equipment upkeep, while identifying and reporting hazards promptly.
