Job summary

TRUCK TECH is seeking an experienced Field Service Heavy Vehicle Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join our Stapylton team on afternoon shift. Based from our Stapylton branch, you’ll be out in the field servicing and repairing customer vehicles, diagnosing faults and attending breakdowns across the surrounding area.

This role offers an afternoon shift from Monday to Friday, a ute/tool-of-trade vehicle, competitive hourly rate with afternoon shift penalties, uncapped monthly performance bonus,

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology is essential.
• Experience in heavy vehicle servicing, repair and diagnostics.
• Ability to work independently in a field service environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Australian driver’s licence and full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Heavy vehicle servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnostics and complex fault finding.
• Mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Attending breakdowns and getting vehicles back on the road.
• Working across trucks, trailers and other heavy vehicles.
• Managing workload independently in the field.
• Completing work safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate job and service records.
