Job summary

Cummins Asia Pacific in Adelaide is seeking a talented Supervisor – Field Service (Mechanical) to lead a team of field service technicians and oversee repairs and servicing of Cummins engines across automotive, industrial, marine, and power generation applications.

You will plan field service events, mentor technicians, ensure safety, maintain quality and customer relationships, and drive continuous improvement on the site.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory/leadership experience with a strong technical background – ideally within heavy diesel.
• Significant experience in a workshop environment with strong leadership and people management skills.
• Heavy Vehicle qualification – preferred.
• Motivated towards developing a high performing and professional team and their commitment to safety and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage the day to day running of field service work
• Plan, schedule and allocate all field service repair events for the branch
• Lead, mentor, and coach field service technicians – remotely supervise repairs and sign off on Technician’s work – track and measure technician productivity and performance
• Building and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers
• Provide technical support to the staff
• Maintain a safe workplace in accordance with OH&S requirements. Conduct quality checks. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping, workflow, and traffic management in the site

Job description

We are looking for a talented Supervisor – Field Service Mechanical to join our team specializing in repairs and servicing and support of Cummins engines in Automotive, industrial, Marine, High horsepower and Power generation applications for our Adelaide branch. This key appointment is responsible for coordinating all off‑site based activities whilst providing direction to a team of dedicated field service technicians.
