Job summary

Adaptalift Group's Hamilton team is seeking a skilled Field Service Mechanic specializing in forklifts and machinery. This hands-on role covers both field and workshop work, servicing and repairing a broad range of equipment on customer sites.

You will log jobs with our tablet system, communicate clearly with customers, maintain van stock, and participate in on-call roaster. A mechanical trade qualification and NZ driver's licence are required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification with experience on forklifts, heavy vehicles or related equipment.
• Strong diagnostics and servicing skills in hydraulics, electrics, or mechanical systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Current NZ driver’s licence and willingness to join rotating on-call roster.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing, breakdowns, and pre-delivery inspections on forklifts and equipment.
• Use tablet-based system to log, complete, and close jobs with accurate records.
• Communicate clearly with customers, explaining work done and any additional repair needs.
• Maintain van stock, tools, and cleanliness, and plan daily activities for efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing
