Job summary

Hunter Valley Compressors hires a Mechanical Fitter / Field Service Technician to service and repair compressed-air equipment across Newcastle, the Hunter region and surrounding areas. Based from Tomago, you’ll visit customer sites, perform servicing, diagnose faults and install equipment with support from a friendly, family-owned team.

You’ll have a relevant trade qualification, a current driver licence and White Card, plus your own tools.

Qualifications

• Qualified fitter or mechanical tradesperson
• Current driver licence and White Card
• Own trade tools
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Clear, professional communication with customers
• Commitment to safe working practices

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs
• Install equipment and assist customers to keep operations running
• Communicate clearly with customers and the HVC team about work performed
