Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical, diesel, automotive or related discipline.
• Experience leading field service, maintenance or mobile service teams in a technical environment.
• Leadership and coaching skills to build high‑performing teams.
• Commitment to a safety‑first culture.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance, diagnostics and repair.
• Strong planning and resource management capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer relations.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and deliver results in a fast‑paced setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset driving efficiency and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Field Service Fitters and Mechanics.
• Drive KPIs: uptime, response times, first-time fix rates and SLA compliance.
• Ensure training, mentoring and safety compliance for the team.
• Plan workforce resources to meet demand and budget requirements.
• Oversee safe field repairs and maintenance in line with standards.
• Foster a customer‑focused culture and effective customer communication.
• Identify continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
• Monitor work quality and ensure adherence to safety policies.
• Promote a strong safety culture and risk management across the team.
