Job summary

MacKellar Group is seeking experienced Field Service Diesel Fitters to support our excavator fleet across the Blackwater mine sites in Queensland. You will travel between sites, perform maintenance and breakdown repairs, and contribute to a strong safety culture on a 7/7 roster.

You’ll be a qualified Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic with proven field service experience and the confidence to work across multiple sites in a mining environment. A Queensland driver's licence is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic with field service experience.
• Previous field service or OEM experience is essential.
• Experience maintaining and repairing large mining equipment.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Current Queensland driver’s licence and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heavy mining equipment across multiple mine sites.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform diagnostics to restore operations.
• Diagnose faults, plan repairs and execute maintenance with minimal downtime.

Take your diesel fitting skills on the road MacKellar is seeking experienced Field Service Diesel Fitters to support our large excavator fleet and ancillary equipment across multiple mine sites in the Blackwater region.

If you're an experienced Diesel Fitter who enjoys working autonomously, travelling between sites and tackling a variety of maintenance and breakdown work, this is an opportunity to put your skills to use while enjoying an attractive hourly rate and a balanced 7/7 roster.

About you

You’ll be a qualified Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic with proven field service experience and the confidence to work across multiple sites in a mining environment.
To be successful, you'll have:

• A recognised Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic trade qualification
• Previous field service or OEM experience is essential
• Experience maintaining and repairing large mining equipment
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• A current Queensland driver's licence
• A proactive approach to safety and the ability to work independently
