Job summary

Siemens Healthineers AG in Mackay, Queensland, is seeking a Customer Service Engineer to provide expert technical support, maintenance and installation of advanced medical imaging systems across hospitals and clinics. The role involves travel and is based out of Mackay with a 24/7 on-call roster.

The position requires a trade qualification or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Biomedical Engineering, plus 3+ years’ experience servicing medical imaging systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience servicing medical imaging systems.
• Trade qualification or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Biomedical Engineering.
• Hold a restricted electrical licence or able to obtain.
• Hold a radiation licence or able to obtain.
• Able to travel across state, interstate and overseas.
• Evidence of permanent work rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and installations of MRI medical imaging equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electro-mechanical and software issues.
• Provide technical support to healthcare professionals including radiologists, radiographers and hospital staff.
• Complete service documentation and communicate updates with customers and internal teams.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call roster to support critical healthcare environments.
• Adhering to all Environmental, Health & Safety policies.

As a Customer Service Engineer, you will provide expert technical support, maintenance and installation of advanced medical imaging systems across hospitals and clinics.

We have a range of products across our Medical Imaging systems including but not limited to CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray and Nuclear medicine. This role will be based out of Mackay with travel required.

A day in the life:

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and installations of MRI medical imaging equipment
• Diagnose and resolve complex electro-mechanical and software issues
• Provide technical support to healthcare professionals including radiologists, radiographers and hospital staff

About you:

• Trade qualification or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Biomedical Engineering (or similar preferred)
• 3 + years of experience servicing medical imaging systems essential
• Experience servicing medical Imaging equipment
• Hold a restricted electrical licence or able to obtain
• Hold a radiation licence or able to obtain
• Happy to work autonomously
• Pride yourself on customer satisfaction and outcomes
• Hold an unrestricted driver’s licence
• Able to travel across state, interstate and overseas.
• Be able to provide evidence of your permanent work rights in Australia.
