Job summary

Thiess are seeking Field Service Mechanics and Electricians to support the needs of our client’s requiring maintenance of their fleets, as well as Thiess sites and based in the Hunter region. With a variety of rosters and competitive salaries available to best suit your family and lifestyle.

Successful applicants will be able to work in a variety of industries depending on experience and willingness to rotate through different work environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a fitter or electrician.
• Post-trade experience in mining or heavy earth moving industries.
• Certificate of Proficiency issued by Training NSW.
• Experience with Liebherr, Caterpillar, and Komatsu heavy equipment preferred.
• Valid Australian citizenship or visa.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment.
• Mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment from sites.
• Source technical information from manuals, bulletins, OEM and systems.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Assist with work order management and work semi-autonomously.
• Be part of a highly motivated team.
