Job summary

Thiess is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join the Peak Downs Mine maintenance team in Queensland. You will maintain, repair and service a diverse fleet of mobile mining equipment to support reliable production outcomes.

The role requires a Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting and post-trade experience in mining or heavy earthmoving. A current Driver's Licence is essential and Strong commitment to safety and teamwork is expected.

Qualifications

Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or recognised equivalent.
Post-trade mining or heavy earthmoving experience.
Experience in maintenance, breakdowns, component changeouts and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment.
Current Driver's Licence.
Current Standard 11 desirable.
Strong commitment to safety, risk management and continuous improvement.
Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing maintenance team.

Responsibilities

Maintain, repair and service mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently.
Diagnose faults, troubleshoot equipment issues and complete preventative maintenance to maximise fleet reliability.
Follow work instructions, complete documentation accurately and maintain high housekeeping and safety standards.
