Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Security Service Technician to join the Sydney Service Team. You will diagnose, maintain and upgrade advanced security systems across commercial sites, building strong customer relationships and delivering projects from small upgrades to fit-outs.

With 2+ years in security tech, you will troubleshoot, install and commission systems, supported by a collaborative team and ongoing technical training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar security technician role.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding experience.
• Sound networking, systems and PC knowledge.
• Experience installing, servicing and commissioning electronic security systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair security systems across customer sites.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Deliver small to medium security upgrades and fit-out projects.
• Commission newly installed security systems.
• Prepare quotations for repair works and recommended upgrades.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide expert technical support.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support the wider Projects Team across new and existing customer sites.
