Job summary

Johnson Controls in Sydney is seeking a Security Service Technician to join our local service team. You will service and maintain advanced security systems across commercial sites, perform upgrades and fit-outs, and commission newly installed systems.

This role offers exposure to project delivery, commissioning and technical leadership, with opportunities to grow into sales and management paths within a globally recognised organisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar security technician role.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding experience.
• Sound networking, systems and PC knowledge.
• Experience installing, servicing and commissioning electronic security systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Current NSW Driver Licence.
• Current Security Licence.
• Current Cabling Registration.
• White Card (Construction Induction Card).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair security systems across customer sites.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Deliver small to medium security upgrades and fit-out projects.
• Commission newly installed security systems.
• Prepare quotations for repair works and recommended upgrades.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide expert technical support.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support the wider Projects Team across new and existing customer sites.
