Job summary

AARNet is seeking a WHS Advisor to embed safety practices across our infrastructure program in Australia. You will monitor safety performance, support contractor compliance, and help implement safety systems on construction sites.

The role requires 3–5+ years in construction safety, a Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS, and a White Card. You will contribute to a culture of safety, work autonomously, and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and ISO 45001 where applicable.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years’ experience in a construction or infrastructure safety role.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and safety management systems.
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits and working with contractors.
• Excellent communication with office and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of the Safety Management System across all project sites and verify compliance.
• Onboard and verify contractor safety documentation and competencies.
• Assist in incident investigations and timely reporting of findings.
• Promote safety culture with visible field presence and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and internal policies.
