Job summary

B-G is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join a major Sydney road infrastructure operation. The role is field‑facing, working with supervisors and crews to promote practical safety behaviours on site.

You will coach teams, strengthen risk management and ensure safety systems translate into everyday actions across live operations. A Certificate IV in WH&S and 2+ years' Australian WHS experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
• At least 2 years Australian WHS/HSEQ experience
• Experience in civil construction, roads, rail, utilities, mining, or infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on WHS/HSEQ support to operational teams and supervisors
• Coach and mentor frontline employees in practical safety and risk management
• Maintain a strong field presence across operational and maintenance activities
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits and safety observations
• Support risk assessments, SWMS and safe work practices
• Provide practical WHS advice to supervisors, managers and employees
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of safety systems and initiatives
• Work collaboratively with operational teams to identify and manage workplace risks
