Lake Baroon Catchment Care Group in Maleny, QLD is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead on-ground environmental projects, improve agricultural practices, and protect water quality. You will develop and implement project plans, manage contractors, and monitor outcomes.

The role requires a natural resource management qualification or substantial experience, strong communication, GIS skills (ArcGIS Pro), and the ability to collaborate with rural landholders.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in natural resource management, agricultural science or related field and at least three years relevant experience; OR at least five years relevant technical experience in natural resource management.
• Experience working with primary producers and understanding sub-tropical agriculture/animal production.
• Ability to apply a process-based approach to developing and implementing on-ground projects.
• Ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate with stakeholders and the community.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and GIS-based mapping software.

Responsabilités

• Deliver on-ground projects improving agricultural practices and riparian habitats and controlling erosion and landslips.
• Develop and implement project plans on time and within budget to achieve outputs.
• Manage external contractors to install and maintain on-ground assets.
• Monitor and report on project progress and outcomes.
