Qualifications

• Experience in the agricultural industry, sugarcane industry highly regarded.
• High level of competence in recording and maintaining accurate records.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to travel for plant breeding activities or training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant breeding operations including planting, harvesting and data collection.
• Work in a team environment, taking leadership and responsibilities for selection activities in the plant breeding program.
• Ensure all plant breeding activities are completed accurately, efficiently and timely.
• Ensure field plans, raw data and sampling records are uploaded to the Plant Breeding database.
• Adhere to biosecurity obligations and proper plant breeding farm hygiene practices.
