Job summary

NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) invites applications for two Field Operations Officers. You will undertake diverse day-to-day tasks connected with EPA legislative responsibilities across assigned regulatory areas, addressing major issues that affect EPA operations.

Additionally, you may support Industry Assessments, Licensing & Permitting and Operational Coordination Units as needed, contributing to effective environmental regulation and safeguarding community health.

Qualifications

• Sound understanding of relevant policies, practices and legislative requirements that govern EPA operations.
• Knowledge and experience in one or more environment protection areas (air, water, noise, waste, chemicals, hazardous materials, radiation).
• Knowledge and experience in applying current environmental legislation and interpreting related laws.

We have an exciting opportunity available for two Field Operations Officers to join the NSW EPA. You will be Undertaking diverse day-to-day tasks relating to the application of EPA legislative responsibilities in assigned regulatory area/s involving major issues affecting the EPA, and activities relating to other regulatory functional areas, as required by EPA operational priorities.

Undertake Industry Assessments/Planning, Licensing & Permitting & Operational Coordination Units as a secondary responsibility if needs arise.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Sound understanding of the relevant policies, practices and legislative requirements that govern the EPA's operations.
• Knowledge and experience in of one or more environment protection areas, including: air, water, noise, waste, chemicals, hazardous materials, & radiation.
• Knowledge and experience in applying current relevant environmental legislation, with demonstrated ability to interpret other environmental legislation.
