Job summary

NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) seeks two Manager Field Operations to lead day-to-day field services and provide strategic oversight. You will drive performance, coordinate cross‑team efforts, and uphold statutory responsibilities while meeting community expectations.

Role includes managing Industry Assessments/Planning, Licensing & Permitting and Operational Coordination units as needed, ensuring a proactive, responsive regulatory presence in the field.

Qualifications

• Sound understanding of policies, practices and legislative requirements governing EPA operations.
• Knowledge in air, water, noise, waste, chemicals, hazardous materials and radiation.
• Ability to interpret and apply current environmental legislation.
• Strong grasp of state and local government structures and processes.
• Experience liaising with client and stakeholder groups to achieve sustainable outcomes.
• Experience in managing staff and setting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Field Operations with a focus on service delivery aligned to EPA objectives.
• Oversee coordination across industries assessments/planning, licensing & permitting units as needed.
• Foster collaboration across teams to maintain a proactive regulatory presence in the field.
