Job summary

NSW Environment Protection Authority invites applications for Field Operations Officers based in Dubbo. The role undertakes a diverse range of regulatory activities, applying EPA legislation to address environmental issues and support compliance in the assigned area.

Qualifications

• Sound understanding of the relevant policies, practices and legislative requirements that govern the EPA’s operations.
• Knowledge and experience in one or more environment protection areas, including: air, water, noise, waste, chemicals, hazardous materials, & radiation.
• Knowledge and experience in applying current relevant environmental legislation, with demonstrated ability to interpret other environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a diverse range of regulatory activities addressing issues and compliance in the assigned area.
• Contribute to industry assessments, licensing and permitting, and operational coordination.
• Support regulatory programs and investigations to protect air, water, land and community health.
