Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited in New South Wales is seeking a Field Network Engineer to design, deploy and support enterprise networking on customer sites, combining hands-on work with customer interaction. You will work with Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet and Aruba gear, perform site surveys, install and configure switches, firewalls and wireless APs, and help keep project documentation up to date.

The role is onsite, offers ongoing training and progression within a growing technology business

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT infrastructure or networking experience.
• Experience working for MSP, systems integrator or enterprise IT team is highly regarded.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently across multiple customer sites.
• Excellent communication and customer facing skills.
• Ability to prioritise work across multiple projects.
• Full Australian driver's licence.
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and install enterprise network infrastructure across customer sites.
• Perform hardware refreshes, migrations and new network deployments.
• Configure and replace switches, wireless access points and firewalls.
• Rack, stack and cable network equipment.
• Carry out site surveys and network discovery activities.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN and wireless networking issues.
• Support project engineers during network cutovers and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and asset records.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working onsite.
• Follow project plans and implementation documentation.
